The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flow meter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. This sensor features 1-inch clamping ports and measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free from solid particles and air. The device is not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation; subsequent liquid measurements will be accurate. Certified UL, FDA-compliant, food-grade materials, and hygiene certified for Europe and the USA. The flow meter has a nominal voltage of 12 V to 35 V DC and uses the büS communication protocol.
