The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (model 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. This sensor features 1 1/2-inch clamp ports and measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures between -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free from solid particles and air. The device is not suitable for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the meter or its operation; subsequent liquids measured after them will be accurately read.
