The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (model 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. With a 1 1/2-inch clamping diameter, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). Maximum pressure rating: 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively impact the meter or its operation; subsequent liquids measured will be accurate. Complies with FDA standards, food-grade materials, and certified hygiene.
