The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flow meter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. Featuring a DN 25 aseptic wedge-gate fitting, it measures flow rate (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 130°C (-4°F to 266°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 40°C (14°F to 104°F). Maximum pressure rating of 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results achieved with homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively impact the meter or its operation; subsequent liquid flows are measured accurately. Certified ATEX and IECEx, Zone 2/22. Compliant with FDA regulations, food-grade materials, and certified hygiene standards for Europe and the USA. Operating voltage: 12 V to 35 V DC. Uses büS communication protocol.
