Intel E810-XXVDA2 for OCP 3.0 Internal Fibre
iWARP/RDMAiWARP offers low-latency converged matrix services to data centers via RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) over Ethernet. Key components enabling this low latency include bypass of the kernel, direct data placement, and transport acceleration. Intel Data Direct I/O Technology Intel Data Direct I/O is a platform technology that enhances input/output data processing efficiency for data delivery and consumption from I/O devices. With Intel Data Direct I/O, Intel network cards and server controllers communicate directly with embedded memory, bypassing system memory: latency is reduced, I/O bandwidth is increased, and energy consumption decreases. Compatible with PCI-SIG* SR-IOV Single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) allows the native sharing (direct) of a single I/O resource between multiple virtual machines. SR-IOV provides a mechanism for a single root function, such as a single Ethernet port, to appear as several physically distinct devices. Flexible Port Partitioning The flexible port partitioning technology leverages the PCI SIG SR-IOV standard to effectively divide your physical Ethernet device into multiple virtual devices, with quality of service ensured by assigning each process a virtual function and sufficient bandwidth portion. VMDq (Virtual Machine Device Queues) queues offload the virtual machine monitor (VMM) from part of the switching load by using network hardware designed to handle this task. VMDq significantly reduces the processing associated with I/O switching in the VMM, substantially improving system performance.
