With eight physical links, it delivers 12 Gbps SAS performance. The H241 provides the flexibility to operate as an HBA or a simple RAID controller. In simple RAID mode, it supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5 with HP Secure Encryption optional features. Unlike HP Smart Array controllers, H241 does not include any acceleration modules or cache memory support. This controller is also ideal for backing up data to external tape drives.
