The compact Sony FX3A is designed for solo shoots, travel, or as a second camera, inheriting from the Cinema Line and Alpha cameras to create a portable cinema camera. It offers excellent image quality with a 12.1MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor (10.2MP effective for video) and BIONZ XR processor, capable of capturing UHD 4K video with 4:2:2 10-bit internal sampling or 16-bit RAW output. The BSI sensor design enhances clarity and sensitivity with an ISO range of 80-409,600 and a dynamic range exceeding 15 stops. The S-Cinetone mode offers color control for matching Venice, FX9, or FX6 sources, supports S-Log3/2 and HLG 10-bit HDR production, and reduces rolling shutter with its sensor and processor collaboration. It also features a fast hybrid AF system for precise subject focus and tracking.
