The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. With a 2-inch clamp, it measures flow (volume) and temperature, suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F). It can handle up to 16 bars (224 psi) of pressure. Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids without solid particles or air bubbles. Not designed for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the meter or its operation, and subsequent liquid measurements will be accurate.
