The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. With a DN 40 clamping diameter, it measures flow rate (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures between -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F). Maximum pressure rating: 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the meter or its operation; subsequent liquid measurements will be accurate.
