The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (model 8098) is designed for applications requiring the highest hygiene standards. With a sterile clamp connection DN 50, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). Maximum pressure rating: 16 bars (224 psi). Ideal for measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the meter or its operation; subsequent liquids are measured accurately.
