The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. With an aseptic clamp joint DN 50, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). Maximum pressure rating: 16 bars (224 psi). Optimally measures homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation; subsequent liquid measurements are accurate.
