The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flow meter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. Featuring a DN 50 aseptic wedge sensor, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). Maximum pressure rating of 16 bars (224 psi). Optimal results achieved with homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the meter or its operation; subsequent liquid measurements are accurate.
