The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications requiring the highest hygiene standards. Featuring a DN 50 aseptic wedge sensor, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F). Maximum pressure rating of 16 bars (224 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation, with subsequent liquids measured accurately. Complies with FDA standards, food-grade materials, and certified hygiene. The flowmeter operates on a nominal voltage of 12 V to 35 V DC and uses the büS + PROFINET communication protocol.
