The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications requiring the highest hygiene standards. It features a DN 50 aseptic wedge sensor and measures both flow rate (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). Maximum pressure rating is 16 bars (224 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively impact the device or its operation; subsequent liquid measurements will be accurate. Complies with FDA standards, food-grade materials, and certified hygiene.
