The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. Equipped with DN 50 clamping ports, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). Maximum pressure rating is 16 bars (224 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation, and subsequent liquids measured after them will be accurately recorded. Compliant with FDA standards, food-grade materials, and certified hygiene. The flowmeter has a nominal voltage of 12 V to 35 V DC and uses the büS communication protocol.
