The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (model 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. This clamp-on sensor features 1-inch ports and measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids without solid particles or air. Not suitable for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation; subsequent measured liquids will be accurate. Complies with FDA standards, food-grade materials, and certified hygiene. The flowmeter operates on a nominal voltage of 12 V to 35 V DC and uses the büS communication protocol.
