The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. Featuring a 3/4-inch clamp connection, it measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free from solid particles and air. Not suitable for gas or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation, with subsequent liquids measured accurately. UL certified, FDA compliant, food-grade materials, and hygiene certified for Europe and the USA. The flowmeter has a nominal voltage of 12V to 35V DC and uses the Service-büS communication protocol.
