The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (model 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. Featuring a 3/8-inch compression fitting, it measures both flow rate (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures between -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 25 bars (351 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free from solid particles and air. Not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the device or its operation, with subsequent liquids measured accurately.
