The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flow meter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. It features a DN 8 aseptic wedge sensor that measures flow rate and temperature, suitable for fluids from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures between -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 25 bars (351 psi). Ideal for measuring homogeneous liquids free from solid particles and air, it is not suitable for gas or steam. This device complies with FDA standards, uses food-grade materials, and is certified for hygiene. The flow meter operates on a nominal voltage of 12 V to 35 V DC and utilizes the büS + PROFINET communication protocol.
