The Burkert SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) flowmeter (type 8098) is designed for applications with the highest hygiene requirements. This sensor features a DN 8 clamp and measures flow (volume) and temperature. Suitable for fluid temperatures from -20°C to 140°C (-4°F to 284°F) and ambient temperatures from -10°C to 70°C (14°F to 158°F). It can withstand a maximum pressure of 10 bars (140 psi). Optimal results are achieved when measuring homogeneous liquids free of solid particles and air. This device is not suitable for gases or steam, but their flow will not negatively affect the meter or its operation; subsequent liquid measurements will be accurate.
