The Hoya HD Mk II IRND8 (0.9) is a neutral density filter that reduces light to the equivalent of 3 f-stops. With ACCU-ND IR-cut technology, water and oil-repellent coating, and low profile frame. Density 0.9, divides the amount of light entering the lens by 8 (3 stops). Neutral density (ND) filters are the most requested and essential type of photographic filter for several reasons. For photographers, ND filters mean precise control over the amount of light passing through the lens for better creative exposure control. For video creators, ND filters greatly help in setting shutter speeds to match frame rates while maintaining depth of field.
